Oh yeah Vancouver… I mean, it’s kind of funny that this is called the Get Calm Tour, because CALM?! Yeah - feels like that’s not gonna happen while we’re here this time around. WHY?! ‘Cause this winter, we’re handing the mic over to one of the funniest and most chronically online comedians of the new school when Laura Ramoso pulls up to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre thisFebruary on Friday the 20th for her The Calm Down tour - and trust us y’all, this one is about to feel a little too familiar for all us in the crowd who ALSO binge reels 24/7….and quite frankly, that’s a GOOD thing right now y’all. As part of her Calm Down Tour, Laura is taking her wildly viral it’s-giving-foreign-girl comedy from the internet straight to stages across the globe - hitting cities all over North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, and evenNew Zealand y’all. She’s playing packed rooms everywhere from Prague to Portland, but the Vancouver stop is special of course - I mean, she is a hometown hero after all. You know the vibes. And if you don’t know - now you do! 

So - who even ISSS Laura Ramoso anyway? If you’ve spent even five minutes scrolling through TikTok or Instagram over the last few years, chances are you already know her. Laura is the queen of painfully real AF characters of herself from her life experiences - AKA meaning German moms and Italian dads to that one girl who just got back from traveling and won’t stop reminding you. Her comedy is rooted in culture, family, and the subtle chaos of everyday interactions between people. The stuff you laugh at and then immediately send to your friends in the DMS  like “THIS IS YOU!!!”. She went to UVA for her BFA in Theatre and Improve, and she’s been grinding on comedy nights and small stages way way before going viral. Her award-winning solo shows (Diane, FRANCES, Sit Up Straight) took over comedy festivals like Just For Laughs and the Edinburgh Fringe, earning her serious industry respect, eyes, and a reputation as one of comedy’s fastest-rising voices of the 2020s. Add in opening slots for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in the last year or two, sold-out international tours, and millions of fans who feel personally attacked by her jokes - yeah, it makes sense why she’s here today. Her Calm Down Tour is a whole new hour of fresh material and fan favs back again. It’s smart chaos all packed into one night - and that’s WHY we need y’all here folks.
