Blood Orange at Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Blood Orange is coming to the iconic Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver, British Columbia on Thursday, September 3rd, 2016. The Blood Orange set list will consist of the band's hit songs 'You're Not Good Enough', 'Dark & Handsome' and 'Best to You' to name a few. Blood Orange is pulling from their album 'Negro Swan' which was released to widespread critical acclaim in 2018 from fans and critics alike. 'Negro Swan' is a body of work that delves into and explores the Black experience and the artists own personal struggles. Additional songs will be pulled from the highly-lauded album 'Freetown Sound' released in 2016 to near universal critical acclaim and ranked by many publications as one of the best of that year. The album 'Freetown Sound' showcases Hynes' unique ability to weave together cultural and personal themes to make them relatable, and most importantly danceable. Hynes combines electronic textures and deep songwriting to deliver a one-of-a-kind live performance that continues to push the boundaries of what we expect from modern music. In addition to his work in music, Blood Orange has collaborated with and written for a number of artists including Solange, A$AP Rocky and FKA twigs, as well as having worked in the visual media scoring and designing for a number of projects.
