True - it’s not EVERY day you get to say “Yeah, I was there” right when the new kid on the block finds his wings - but it IS 2026, so we are tryna give everyone that new year new us energy. ‘Cause on Friday, Feb 20th we got René Vaca is pulling up to us here at the Queen Lizzy Theatre for a milestone moment for the 29 year old. As part of his rapidly expanding tour - which, let us remind you - this tour took off last year, but is NOW EXTENDED to 2026, René is taking his homegrown comedy from packed clubs to full scale theatres and hitting cities and stages all over North America — from Los Angeles and San Diego to Chicago, New York, those Texas fields and festival stages, and now: Vancouver, baby. So - some of you might be asking: who is René Vaca anyway?! Where did he pop up from?! If his name sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve already seen him on Lives and some TikToks before, even if you didn’t realize it at the time. René broke through in a major way after winning StandUp NBC back two years ago - it's the most respected comedy competitions in the game, and then caught national attention right after when he popped up as a featured performer in Netflix’s “Introducing…” showcase at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival. That set became a career changer for him - and so far, the rest has been history! Suddenly his crowd work clips, family stories, and brutally honest observations were everywhere - pulling in millions of views and turning casual scrollers into real-life ticket buyers, AKA us right now basically. Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, René’s comedy is all about his life and how you can turn any tragedy into lifelong comedy -  family chaos, cultural influnece and the kind of real-world abnormalities you just…can’t fake. His style feels conversational, quick, and fearless, with crowd work that makes every show feel different and personal. He’s 100% himself, and quite frankly that’s why we love him so much - and that’s why this show matters. 

This tour is Rene’s real first run around the world as a headliner, and basically on tour in general.
