Here comes a fantastic family experience as Canadian legendary children’s singer Raffi will bring his Beluga Grads Family Concerts to the iconic Queen Elizabeth theatre on Saturday, 14th November 2026. Raffi, who has sold more than 15 million records worldwide, will have his music performed in a concert he will share with Canadian folk trio Good Lovelies.
I'm excited to announce my first concert for kids of 2016, which promises to be a huge amount of fun for the whole family! We'll be singing some of my favourite songs as well as all of your kids including classics like Baby Beluga, Bananaphone and Shake My Sillies Out as well as some new songs from my latest album “Penny Penguin”. We'll also be joined by some incredible friends, the wonderful Canadian trio The Good Lovelies who can harmonize the hind legs off a cat! Fun for all ages.

In addition to a high energy band that plays engaging cheerfull music suitable for families, he will be joined on stage by special guests The Good Lovelies. Families with children of all ages, and parents, will have a great time singing along with Raffi to all his classic children’s songs as well as his new environmentally-focused and childhood-based songs that connect us all. Kids 2 years old and up. Our star Raffi sings children's song classics that have delighted children and families for generations! Classic kids songs include: Baby Beluga Bananaphone Shake My Sillies Out Down by the Bay Rise and Shine and many more. Raffi’s newest album Penny Penguin released 2024 maintains his standard of excellent children’s songs. Raffi and his record label ToleMusic, have sold over 15 million records world wide and have won over 600 awards and nominations for achievement in music including multiple Grammy and Juno nominations, Canadian Folk Music Awards as well as appointments such as Member of the Order of Canada in 1983. Raffi is a huge hockey fan and was named after the famous Armenian poet Raffi. He is a Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and child life champion, who is known as the pioneer of the contemporary children's music movement. Raffi does not accept royalties for his songs. He not only sings but also founded the Raffi Foundation for Child Honouring and works hard to protect the planet for future generations and to defend children's dignity.
Folk Music Notes: The Good Lovelies sing I See Gold, Crabbuckit, When We Were Young and Lie Down. The Good Lovelies are Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore. They sing the songs in their usual harmonized folk fashion. Their album We Will Never Be The Same was released in 2023. They were nominated in the category Roots & Traditional Album of the Year – Group at the 2011 Juno Awards and have received numerous Canadian Folk Music Awards including New Emerging Artist of the Year in 2009 and Vocal Group and Ensemble in 2013. The Good Lovelies As solo performers, each of the trio members started their career as singer-songwriter musicians in 2004. The three musicians came together in 2006 to create The Good Lovelies. Described as having “wit and charm in equal measure” and being known for their “irresistible harmonies”, the trio bring humour and musicality to the stage. The Good Lovelies have recently collaborated with children’s singer, Raffi, making this show more fun for kids!
The theater is located at 630 Hamilton Street in downtown Vancouver, BC. The Queen Elizabeth theater was named after Queen Elizabeth II when she opened it in 1959. The theater is a medium-sized proscenium venue with a restored 1959 red interior featuring an Orchestra, Mezzanine and Balcony. Concessions for snacks and drinks are available at the concession stand as well as a full bar that is open prior to the performance and during the show. The on-site art gallery features local and up-and-coming artists. Accessible seating is available and all of the elevators give access to all levels of parking and the theatre. You may park your vehicle in the Easy Park parkade that surrounds the theater. For address purposes, the Cambie street entrance is located off West Georgia and Dunsmuir. There are many off street parking lots available close to the theater so you will have plenty of choices to make your trip here an enjoyable one.
