The story begins - It is 1962 and Tracy has dreams of featuring on the local TV dance show, The Corny Collins Show, but is told no, it can’t happen. Yet, Tracy proves people wrong and after winning a role in the show with her plucky attitude and killer moves and becoming a celebrity overnight. But she learns that there are prejudices in her hometown that she cannot tolerate. What will ensue when Tracy and her friends and family stand up to the injustices in their hometown?
