Hamilton is going on tour and it's going to be playing at Queen Elizabeth theater in Vancouver, British Columbia on Saturday 5th June 2027. "I never expect to see a perfect work from an imperfect man". - Alexander Hamilton. Besides no one person is perfect, although, in the world of stage acting, Lin-Manuel Miranda is as close to as possible. Miranda produced Hamilton and even performed as Alexander Hamilton himself as a part of the original cast!
Based on the 2004 biography Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow. The show covers Hamilton's time as an America's Founding Father and his participation in the American Revolution and the economic history of the early United States. And finally Hamilton's untimely demise to Vice President Aaron Burr in a duel.
The show debuted in 2015, the production went on to win 8 Drama Desk Awards, 11 Tony Awards from 16 nominations, the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2016.
Miranda and the cast of Hamilton aim to tell the tale of "America then, as told by America now". To do so, the production places minority actors as the American Founding Fathers and other high profile roles.
